Kang Chul-In is the main protagonist of The Overlord of Blood and Iron.
Personality[]
Kang Chul-In is someone who has so much pride that he would rather die than bowing to someone else. As few could equal him in martial arts or as a OverLord, he became conceited and short-tempered. His arrogance and irritability also made him prompt to be curel towards those who oppose him. It was his overconfidence and warmonger personality which caused his fall during his first timeline.
Kang Chul-In's main goal is to conquer the continent of Pangea as its new emperor. As a former common employee to a OverLord made him addicted to the taste of power and used to being respected. His megalomania goes as far as constantly seeking war and glory despite having been born in a modern era.
Background[]
He is a young man who became the strongest and most hated human with the arrival of an alternate world called Pangea. He dominated this plane for a decade as the most powerful sovereign but ultimately failed to unify it. During "Ragnarök", an all out war between Overlords, Kang Chul-In waged wars and caused multiple massacres. While his reputation as a legend was built during this period, it also caused many people to grow fearful and hostile to him.
The betrayal of one of his trusted subordinate resulted in the alliance of his countless enemies whom then besieged his palace. Just before his death Kang Chul-In used his final trump card, a skill named Soul Backup, and returned to the past, 10 years ago, with his memory intact.

- As the most hated man and sovereign Kang Chul-In suffered 77 assassination attempts before using Soul Backup.
- During his firts Great Summoning (you see the person you trust the most) Kang Chul-In saw his father, during the second he saw himself (as a Lord).
- In Chapter 326, the Emperor of Blood and Iron said that he passed the lovers that he failed to take responsibility to his reincarnation, which is Kang Chul-In, which means his current wives maybe his past self's wives too.
